An administrative position whose main responsibility is to plan the production of hand-rolled cigars from the Dominican Republic, Honduras and Nicaragua, ensuring that production deadlines are met and manufacturing capacities are adhered to.

 

What can you expect as a Supply Planner HMC at Scandinavian Tobacco Group?

  • Develop and communicate the production plan for an 8- to 16-week planning horizon, considering plant constraints and meeting the overall inventory targets set by Demand Planning.  Balance service, inventory and productivity targets.  
  • Identify and assess the differences between available and required capacity. Proactively recommend and present the necessary action steps.
  • Regularly communicate the status of production to managers, customers and other departments.
  • Analyze pending, current and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan and schedule production operations and meet customer delivery commitments.
  • Plan inventory management processes to avoid shortages and surpluses.
  • Monitor production progress and ensure that the final product meets quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Analyze delays and disruptions and adjust production schedules accordingly to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain records of production planning activities and sequences.
  • Build strong working relationships with staff at the STG plant to facilitate collaborative problem-solving and effective communication with key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Marketing and New Product Development departments to establish commitments regarding new product initiatives and monitor these projects.
  • Perform other duties related to the role and/or as required by the line manager.

 

What Skills and expertise will be required?

  • Graduate of Industrial Engineer or related careers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (fluency in Excel essential), SAP (preferred).
  • Fluency in English (essential)
  • At least two years’ experience in roles related to production planning, amongst others.
