About the role:
The Junior Collections Officer will be responsible for managing and matching receipts accurately, constant monitoring of unapplied cash receipts, negotiating settlements with customers. The Junior Collections Officer will also follow up with sales team to ensure timely collections from customer
What can you expect as a Junior Collections Officer at Scandinavian Tobacco Group? Your primary tasks will be:
Leadership and development:
· Conduct regular meetings with Credit and Collection Supervisor to provide updates on work status
· Take ownership of learning and development, seeking guidance from the team lead
· Actively participate in functional and technical training related to S4 HANA to enhance knowledge
Operational Responsibilities:
· Accurate matching of customer receipts and perform timely reconciliations
· Ensure towards meeting collection targets or goals set by company, make sure cash flow remains healthy
· Ensuring all collection activities comply with legal regulations, company policies, and ethical standards
· Responsible for handling the dunning process
· Monitoring all the accounts for delayed payments by conducting AR ageing
· Closely co-ordinate with the Sales team to track customer collections and assist the Sales team to have focused efforts for customer follow-ups
· Ensure timely completion and submission of all reports to enable Credit and collection lead to evaluate for process performance.
Performance & Efficiency:
· Demonstrate proficient problem-solving abilities and negotiation skills to resolve payment issues
· Secure suitable repayment plans from customers to enhance overall efficiency in the collection process
Your areas of knowledge and expertise (that matter the most for this role):
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or similar
· Total relevant experience up to 2 years
· Knowledge of SAP 4 HANA (knowledge of FSCM module in SAP preferred)
· Knowledge of quote-to-cash processes (especially AR and collections)
· Strong understanding of the business and accounting processes
· Strong communication and analytical skills
· Fluency in English (oral and written).
